Banana Toast

Banana Toast

Prep Time: 5 mins Cooking Time: 4 mins


  • 1 banana, mashed or blended until smooth
  • 60ml full fat milk (any will work — cow’s, soya, oat, coconut, breast or formula)
  • Unsalted butter, for frying
  • 2 slices of bread



In a bowl, mix together the mashed banana and milk and then transfer the mixture onto a plate


Soak each slice of bread in the mixture for 1-2 minutes on each side


In a frying pan, heat the butter over a medium heat and then fry each slice of bread for 2 minutes on each side


Serve once cooled in ‘soldier’ style slices for young babies, or small squares for older babies.

This delicious and moist banana toast is perfect for BLW beginners! It is not only quick to prepare, but its moist texture makes it very easy for babies to munch!
