Teething Soup

Prep Time: 10 mins Cooking Time: 60 MMINS


  • 1 large potato, peeled and diced
  • 400g tin of chickpeas, drained
  • 400g tin of chopped tomatoes
  • 600ml low salt chicken stock
  • 1 tablespoon mixed herbs or mild curry powder
  • 1 cup (108g) fresh mixed vegetables



In a saucepan, simmer all of the ingredients for 1 hour and then mash until smooth, or blend in a food processor


Serve once cooled.


This recipe makes a lot of this soup, so it is ideal for batch freezing in single portions divided across freezer bags or tupperwares, ready for those teething days!

When Annabelle’s teeth started emerging (one after the other!) feeding times became a bit of a battle, but luckily I kept a stash of this soup in the freezer for days when her sore gums couldn’t face solid food.
