I made this melt for lunchtime when I was at a loose end with very little in the kitchen but some bread and over-ripe fruit. It’s very simple, but so yummy. Annabelle adores it and I’m a big fan too…because feeding mummy is important as well!

Sourdough Pear Melt

Sourdough Pear Melt
Ingredients
- 1 slice of sourdough bread
- 2 slices of pear
- 3 tablespoons grated mild cheese
- 1 heaped tablespoon yoghurt
- 2 pinches of mixed herbs
Instructions
1
Spoon the yoghurt over the sourdough slice — this will help soften it and make it easier for your baby to eat
2
Place the pear slices on top of the yoghurt before sprinkling with the cheese and mixed herbs
3
Place the slice under the grill, on medium heat, for approximately 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese has melted
4
Serve once cooled.
